First concert

8 June 1973 - 19:30

Paul Simon

Danty

Unforgettable experience

This was my first ever live concert, I was 15 years old and it was a wonderful evening. The Royal Albert Hall was magnificent and the atmosphere delightful. Paul Simon sounded better in real life than he did on record (There goes Rhyming Simon - which I bought second hand from a school friend - I think she may have sold me the tickets too). I loved every second of the thunderous applause and the shared feeling of joy and excitement. I had an idea who Paul Simon was at the time. That performance has made me a life long fan and although I managed to see Paul Simon again, it was not at the Royal Albert - simply not same!
