Summer of 69 June 26th Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd

Life-changing moment

My first visit to the Royal Albert Hall, at 14 years of age, we'd bought tickets some time before from a posh but dark box office for the Orchestra Stalls, had no idea we'd be sitting on the risers right behind the band. I suppose it must have been my first big show. So in we went and found our seats, gazing around in wonder at this huge space from the actual stage. I've never forgotten how it felt, sounded and left me in awe, so much so that I harboured a wish to one day return to the place and maybe get a job of some sort. Many many years went by, I traveled, worked in some interesting places and one day decided that I'd had enough of the daily grind, I took an early retirement package from my employer and started looking for something to do with people, maybe in the sport or entertainment industry. Somehow I found an advertisement for temporary Proms stewards. 6 years later I'm still here #bestjobintheworld #oneteam
